Laura Quintero Anton

Laura was born in Mexico, and she immigrated to the United States in 2016. She currently lives in Portland, Oregon.

She is an illustrator and designer who enjoys incorporating traditional textures into her digital work. Laura’s work is a celebration of color that exemplifies Mexican folklore and culture. Laura tells stories through symbolism and repetitive patterns. She loves illustrating nature, especially animals.

Laura graduated this spring with a BFA in illustration from PNCA. She also received The President’s Appreciation Award for Outstanding Student Leadership at Rogue Community College in 2022. That same year, she had her first exhibition at Art Bop Beer Company in Talent Or. In 2023, she participated in the group exhibition, Shades of Color, at Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA).

Laura would like to work in publishing, illustrating and writing her own children’s books. She would also like to collaborate on product design with local businesses and have a solo exhibition.
